Today, Monday, January 15th, marked the end of our free weekend, coinciding with the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. As we bid farewell to our short but sweet getaway in Prague, most of us made our way back to Nuremberg from different corners of Europe. Students who explored Switzerland, Austria, Spain, and Munich are among the many returning, all geared up to resume classes tomorrow
Our day kicked off in our cozy Prague Airbnb, where the aftermath of a spirited laundry session left clothes hanging from every available surface. (Enjoy the laundry tour by Hannah).
Determined to make the most of our last day in this picturesque city, we got ready for brunch and one last glimpse of Prague's charm. However, as we checked out, we accidentally changed the lockbox combination (oops!), unintentionally leaving the cleaning lady in a bit of a predicament. Apologies were made, and the situation was resolved before we embarked on our adventure.
Brunch unfolded at a charming café next to the Astronomical Clock Tower, offering a perfect setting to savor the moment. I opted for a "healthy breakfast" featuring yogurt, fruits, and granola, a delightful start to the day.
With time to spare before our first train departure, we headed to the mall for some last-minute shopping. As we explored the city one last time, the approaching departure was evident, but we made the most of every moment.
The journey back to Nuremberg involved three different trains, adding a bit of excitement as we navigated tight connection times. Some of us utilized the travel time to get ahead in reading materials, catch up on sleep, or enjoy movies and books.
After a five-hour train ride, filled with various activities, we finally arrived back in Nuremberg. The day concluded with checking into our hotel, a collective sigh of relief, and the anticipation of a good night's sleep to prepare for tomorrow's return to the world of math studies.
